    please please please write the next installment for The Taste of Lightning/anything Tremaris. i'v e been reading them since you wrote them (... yes that means i'm about 21 now)and i re-read them quite a bit and would reaaaally love another book to finish it/tell us whats going to happen :D These books are so wonderful, please consider to keep writing them!

    i agree with you i'm 20 and i still absolutely love the chanters of tremaris i desperately want more!!!!! they are wonderful and i have got other friends into this series. please with cherries on top :D

      Me too! Except I'm 12 and I have gotten most of my year6 class to say they will rad it. (we had to write a series review and I chose this one)

      Thank you so much for your message... but I'm sorry to say that this sequel didn't work out :( I think I left it too long and I it was too hard to work my way back into Tremaris. But there is one more Tremaris book, The Taste of Lightning, that you might enjoy.

    I Just read your post and YESSS! (insert cheering).
    I am in love with the Chanters of Tremaris series and me and my friend (don't know if you read my last post) that has the nickname Mica, after your character, were waiting VERY impatiently to see of another was coming out. We are both 11 and have worn out the school library's copies long ago! I shall have to tell her on Monday.

    Now I've had this lovely comment from you I feel I should hurry up and finish the book! And yes, Calwyn's daughter is named after Mica -- but she is known as Dimica (little Mica) (pronounced DIM-icka)

    I have told my friend and she is SUPER excited. I have just finished reading the series for the third time through and I could not even read the contents pages without shivering with excitement! It took me about 18 hours to finish the whole series so it was finish one book move to the next. Nothing wasn't exciting and I still laughed at what was funny and cried when people died.
    An amazing book series thank you soo much for writing it and I can not wait for another one.

    Me and one of my friends, that I have not told you about, Opal are trying to write a book together over Email. Can you give us some hints please?
    We have no idea what is actually going to happen but we have a world and the characters. They all have a spirit animal and a power based on one of the elements.
    Opal has not read the Chanters of Tremaris but has said she would.

    Hi Thirrin,
    Hm! Well, it sounds as if you've spent lots of time on the most fun part (world-building) and now you need to do some hard work! My suggestion would be to take one or two characters and think of the worst possible thing you could make happen to them -- what do they fear the most, what do they value? Give them a big problem and help them try to find a way to solve it. Keep throwing problems at them and see how they respond. Have fun!

    Opal and I are back at school on Tuesday (We have a staff training day on Monday) and we know we shall brainstorm at lunch or our silent reading/ writing time.
    How did you come up with Samis? We are having LOTS of trouble finding the bad guy in the sea of characters we have written down. The most evil description we have come up with is the one for Ronxa.
    Even that isn't very evil sounding!
    You wrote Dear Swoosie with another lady how did you do it? Was it by Email or were you in the same room?

    Maybe your bad guy isn't really evil; maybe he/she thinks that they doing the right thing. Most bad guys do mean well, strangely enough… ;)
    Penni and I wrote Dear Swoosie using google docs. We made a chapter outline and then we would write a chapter each and email when we'd put it up on the shared document. We ended up writing REALLY fast because it was so much fun!
    PS Ronxa is a great villain's name, imo!

    Kate Constable is an absolutely fantastic writer. We had to read Crow Country for English at school, and every one loved it! It was by far the best book we had to read.
    I personally think that Crow Country is an inspirational book. It's great for all ages. I deeply encourage people to read Crow Country by Kate Constable.

    Thank you for writing the Tenth Power as it gave me and A in English.
    I am from an academicly selective school in NSW and for our English assignment we had to write a persuasive text (boring) on which book should be included in the children's cannon of literature. I did the Tenth Power and my teacher loved it. The fact that you are an Australian YA author made her even more thrilled.
